Hello Iaroslav. I am i trying to help some friends who are fighting against rhino poaching. They asked me if I could make a car wrap for their anti-poaching vehicle. I created something in Photoshop but is extremely big and I cannot even open it myself. I was wondering if you could help me on how to do it as a vector in illustrator? I never used that program to be honest so I am lost!

I can send you the file of what I want to create to see if you can instruct me on how to do it? I am doing this because I also love animals, but I am now stuck and don’t know where to start....

Of course, I'll try to help you.

Take Ellipse Tool (L) and create an ellipse

Rotate the ellipse with Selection Tool (V).

Copy and Paste in Front this ellipse (Cmd + C; Cmd + F). Now move it up.

Reduce the top ellipse.

Now go to Object> Blend> Blend Options and set Steps of the Blend effect.

Select two ellipses and go to Object> Blend> Make.

You can edit the result.

Create a copy of the objects.

Press Cmd+ D the desired number of times.

Now go to Object> Expand.

Hello again. thanks a lot for your tutorial. As you can see in the picture is sent, my background kind of orange gradient to brown to yellow. How do I manage to make a gradient in the background?, this was by chance as I used a gradient in Photoshop to make the effect…
thanks for taking the time to explain this to me!

Hi

We can use Photoshop to Create a Classic Comic Book Style Illustration For the halftone pattern in the background, Jean drew a circle with the new layer, he applied the filter at a much smaller pixel radius for greater dot density.

I have read an article which guide create comic dot.
Step 1
Open a new document (800 by 800 pixels). We will start with learning to create a simple compositions of points. Create an ellipse without stroke and fill it with radial gradient.
Step 2
Now go to Effect> Pixelate> Color Halftone …, apply the settings you see below.
Step 3
Transform the image to the vector. Go to Object> Expand Appearance and press the Live Trace Button in the top panel. Then press the Expand Button.
Step 4
Now we can operate this as a conventional vector object. Fill our object with a linear gradient.
Step 5
You must delete the Compound Path in the layers box.
Step 6
We take the Gradient Tool (G) and adjust the gradient fill.
Step 7
Now go to Object> Envelope Distort> Make with Warp…, apply the settings
Step 8
We have an interesting effect!

Hi there and nice tutorial,

I'm looking for a tutorial like yours but with a more structured pattern.
Something that play with the thickness of the lines and where custom shapes can fit to a grid (or can be placed precisely)
I've attached an example of what I'm looking for:

Help will be much appreciated biggrin

Many thanks!
