To download the script Zoom Selection click on Download icon at the beginning or in the end of this article.
You can install the script in the following directories:
For Windows users: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5\Presets\en_GB\Scripts
For Mac users: Applications/Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5\Presets\en_GB\Scripts
In this case you can start the script from the menu File > Scripts > Zoom_Selection. You also can use shortcuts Alt + F + R + Z (for Windows users only). Read more about this here - Shortcuts to run scripts in Adobe Illustrator.
You can also save the script in a different folder. In this case to start the script go to the File > Scripts > Other Script… (F12).
It is very convenient to start often used scripts with the help of the Script Bay plug-in. This free plug-in gives access to the list of scripts from the panel which can always be placed in a convenient for you spot.
To quickly switch back to 1:1 view use Cmd/Ctrl + 1 (the selected object should be located in within the working area).
