In this tutorial you will learn about all the options and properties of the new Space Fill tool, which allows you to fill the container path with selected objects, distributing them evenly within the shape. Many Adobe Illustrator users have been thinking of such a tool for years. And now you finally have it in your hands thanks to the latest release of Collider Scribe. Test Space Fill today by downloading the 14 day trial!
To demonstrate the Space Fill feature we will create an object (container path), which will be filled with other smaller objects. This object can have a fill and / or stroke, or not have any sort of attributes. Create also an object (seed), which will fill the container path .
Open Space Fill panel (Window > ColliderScribe > Space Fill panel). Select the container path and seed, and then click on Make in the panel.
As a result the seed is moved to the center of the container.

Enable the Multiply Filling Art option and set the number of copies in the Space Fill panel. As you can see the copies of the object fill the container evenly.

You can enable the Resize All Filling Art option and change the size of the seeds, setting the scale value in the numeric field.
