| means,what actually happens when transparency applied to an object(with some stacking order or nothing) ,the very basic things about opacity. i have tried every where in the internet,i dont know whether its their seo problem or there is nothing to teach about it,i couldnt find a single article on this topic.I have observed your tutorials and andrea marius sir's tutorials,you people use opacity heavily for producing realistic shadows and hilights.People like me who have no artistic background or direct teacher,always fails to understand whats happening and couldnt predict output .There are hundreds of people like me who face the same problem.Please solve our problem sir … thank you.

| I am using opacity to create smooth transitions between light and shadow. To do this I use the following techniques: Opacity Mask, gradients with transparent sliders and the Appearance palette, opacity in the Gradient Mesh Blend with transparent objects. Judging by your comments on my responses in the previous topics, you have some theoretical knowledge. Tell me, if you have any problems with the above mentioned techniques, and I will comment on it in detail.

| It's really annoying when I can't snap an object precisely to the center of another, or at the edge of one, or place it so the top is aligned with the other object's top edge.
I have smart guides turned on though, but sometimes it doesn't "work." Sometimes instead of aligning with the center of a text frame, it aligns with a letter's bottom edge for instance. And that's even more complicated when the text turns into outlines, those smart guides appear to snap almost everywhere.
