WidthScribe is designed to give you full control over variable width   strokes in Adobe Illustrator. There are related few tasks that cannot be   handled by its tools. I hope you have already experienced it (if not, download a 14 day free trial now!).

Today’s guide is devoted to speeding up your workflow with   WidthScribe by using keyboard the shortcuts available. This information,   along with the WidthScribe’s instructional product movies, will help you get the most from this unique toolset!

 

Width Gradient

Tool, while dragging a gradient:

Shift — Constrains gradient the gradient angle to 45° increments.

Shortcuts for WidthScribe

Option / Alt — Temporarily switches between linear and radial gradient.

Shortcuts for WidthScribe

Space bar — Moves entire gradient.

Shortcuts for WidthScribe

C — Changes preview color.

Shortcuts for WidthScribe

S — Temporarily changes all strokes / focal stroke mode.
