In-line editing of the Embedded images outside Adobe Illustrator in raster graphics editors like Photoshop using native functions is impossible. To do this you first need to unembed an image. Rasterino allows conducting in-line editing of the Embedded images in a much easier and faster way. I’m hoping that you have already experienced using Rasterino if not, download 14 day free trials now!
To demonstrate the Edit Image function I will use Pear image from Shutterstock, to which the Drop Shadow effect was applied (Effect > Stylize > Drop Shadow …).
Select the embedded image and open the Rasterino panel (Window > Rasterino > Rasterino panel). Now click on the Edit Image button in the panel.
This will lead to opening of an image in Photoshop in a temporary file.
Now you can edit the image as you need, for example, remove the white background.
