Stylism makes 8 of the favourite native Illustrator live Effects interactive, giving complete control over the options. Control over the Effect parameters is now done in a more intuitive way compared to using Illustrator’s own dialog boxes. Today we will learn about all the features of Stylism and talk about all the Effects it offers control to. After installing the plug-in the Stylism Tool icon will appear in the Tools panel. Its position is shown below.
To open the Stylism panel go to Window > Stylism > Stylism panel.
At the top of the panel we can set the Resolution of the current document by entering the necessary value in a numeric field or by clicking on one of the presets. This option corresponds to the resolution in the Effect> Document Raster Effects Settings… dialog box.
If you select an object, there are eight buttons that correspond to the most widely used live effects in Adobe Illustrator. The buttons of the top row, from left to right are, the Drop Shadow, Feather, Inner Glow and Outer Glow effects. The buttons of the lower row from left to right are Transform, Free Distort, Offset Path and Gaussian Blur effects.
