The respective panels of our VectorScribe, InkScribe, Texturino, WidthScribe, Stylism and MirrorMe plug-ins have always opened automatically when enabled. To disable this function, you previously needed to edit the Adobe Illustrator Preferences file, but this was for advanced users only and required Illustrator to be restarted. Now however, you can turn the automatically opening panels option on and off with DirectPrefs v1.0.2…
Simply toggling the tick state of DirectPref's fly-out menu "Auto Open Astute Graphics Panels" will now make this change take instant effect.
This is possible only with the latest versions of the plug-ins mentioned above. If you do not already have the latest version of VectorScribe ( VectorScribe v3 ) you would need to purchase it here. The latest point release versions of all other plug-ins can be obtained simply by downloading and running our latest Unified Installer (by either requesting a Free 14 day Trial of our plug-ins, or visiting your account page).
DirectPrefs does not require any license key or product activation. Simply download our latest unified installer and when you run it, DirectPrefs will be one of the default plug-in installation options. Due to the lack of licensing for this plug-in, it will not be listed on your account page or the Astute Graphics Licensing Summary window (Help > Astute Graphics > Licensing Summary).
Please note: Any VectorScribe v2 customers who do not yet wish to upgrade to VectorScribe v3 at present, can still run our latest installer. However, you will need to untick VectorScribe on the installer (as shown right) to ensure that version 2 remains available in Illustrator (more information on this can be found here). Remaining with version 2 will of course mean that the changes mentioned above will not be applicable for your VectorScribe plug-in.
